Dr. Mark St. John, Dr. Laura Stokes, Inverness Research Inc.
Mark St. John and Laura Stokes prepared these slides for the National Writing Project Board and presented them at the June 7, 2014, National Writing Project Board of Directors Meeting. The presentation explains the perspective of Inverness Research on how and why the NWP is unique and has been strong through 40 years of evolution and growth. After pointing out that the NWP is the largest and longest lasting professional development program for teachers in history (no one has countered that claim in 10 years!), the presentation examines the NWP as a networked organization and as a national improvement infrastructure.
The National Writing Project, Federal, State, and Local Policy Makers, Funders, Educators, Teachers, Reform Leaders, and general public.
